COMING TOMORROW TO YOUR COMPUTER... TO YOUR TABLET... AND TO YOUR PHONE

Bonesville The Magazine

The 2015 Bonesville The Magazine is rolling out Wednesday in a brand new way. In its 15th year, Bonesville's official preseason kickoff publication will come to readers in the format of a subscription-based Web magazine. In moving away from the digital flipbook format of the last few years, this year's digital edition will incorporate a range of social media functions, allowing readers to comment on articles and interact with other readers in response to any and all of the magazine's feature content. Additionally, the new online magazine will be fully mobile-responsive, which means the magazine will be read easily on any device, from desktop computers to mobile phones.

Although there will not be a print version of the magazine this year, the publication is scheduled to return to both print and Web format for 2016. The decision to not print the magazine this year is based on a variety of factors, not the least of which is that Bonesville's creative team has been occupied behind the scenes planning the all new Bonesville.net, which will debut a totally redesigned site this fall. The new site will be similar in style and function to this year's Bonesville The Magazine.

Below is a sneak peek at the homepage of the Bonesville The Magazine website. Readers will be able to see teasers for much of the content on the home page as soon as the site launches. Subscribing will allow for instant and unlimited access to all content. Stay tuned to grab your subscription.

Pirates have questions to answer

GREENVILLE — The pertinent questions were asked at East Carolina's football media day on Saturday. The Pirate coaches essentially said we'll have to get back to you.

The quarterback situation in the absence of Shane Carden and the potential impact of Minnesota/Rutgers transfer Philip Nelson as well as the competition for placekicker are among the issues ECU is dealing with as the 2015 season approaches. Nelson walked on with the Pirates and his status for this season is to be determined. ... Story & pictures from Al Myatt...
